Aircraft Sculptures In Hong Kong, China, Show The Beauty Of Innovation
Sep 23, 2023Upon receiving this Sculpture, we faced a series of challenges. The customer required us to complete the work from drawings to 3D printing samples to final installation within a deadline of nearly 25 days.Additionally, we needed to dismantle and reassemble the 9-meter-long fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) airplane into 13 segments, considering the constraints of elevator dimensions.
The latest addition to Hong Kong's Wax Museum, this 9-meter-long Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastic Sculpture took approximately 25 days to complete.
1、 Process involved 3D modeling
2、3D printing sample
3、Disassembling Installation Blueprints (due to elevator size limitations)
4、Sculpting foam
5、Producing internal structures through fiberglass-reinforcedplasticmolding
6、Multiple rounds of polishing and filling
7、Applying epoxy primer and automotive protective paint
8、And final installation.
With adjustments proposed by the artist and collaborative efforts of our team, the construction and installation were successfully accomplished.
